Almost 20 years ago, Laneway Church began with a family, an overhead projector and a whole lot of faith. From those first gatherings in homes and the cinema to the vibrant Laneway community we know today, it's been a remarkable journey of trusting God and seeing people changed by the life of Jesus.
As we launch LifeBuild Month, Pastors Jeff and Rowe took time to reflect on where we've come from, celebrate God's faithfulness and share the vision for 2027: Make Room. Building on our four pillars of biblical wisdom, vibrant community, the Holy Spirit's presence and blessing beyond, they shared a renewed focus on praying, inviting and serving, creating space for more people across Bathurst and our region to encounter the life of Jesus.
That vision includes an exciting next step: launching a second Sunday service in 2027, alongside continued preparations for a future permanent home for Laneway Church.
As we look towards our 20th anniversary, the heart of LifeBuild remains the same. It's not just about buildings, services or growing numbers. It's about people, the lives being changed today and those who are yet to discover the hope and life found in Christ.
