This week, Pastor Rowe took us into John 9, the story of the man born blind. When the disciples asked whose sin had caused his blindness, Jesus pointed toward purpose in the present: “This happened so the power of God could be seen in him.”

Jesus healed the man, yet people doubted his story. Religious leaders argued. Even his own parents kept their distance. And in the middle of all the noise, the man held onto one clear truth: “I was blind and now I can see.”

Pastor Rowe reminded us that this story is not ultimately about physical healing. It is about identity, clarity, and worship. We are all created for God’s glory. We are all invited to hear Jesus’ voice, obey Him, and discover who we truly are in His light. The greatest work of God displayed in this man’s life was not restored sight, but that he came to believe in Jesus and worship Him.
